Frequently Asked Questions
1. Do you have a preferred clientele or niche?
2. Are you accepting clients who only need help with taxes or investments, but not both?
Again, not really. The more I do this, the more I see the advantages to my clients of being a truly holistic advisor.
3. Do you manage employer sponsored retirement plans?
Of course! And while many advisors will only be too happy to manage the investments of a retirement plan they don’t provide any assistance in the administration of the plan. I will provide as much assistance as you need or want to make sure your plan is not only well managed but is fully compliant with the applicable laws and regulations.
4. Do you invest in REIT's?
I do not. In my experience REIT’s are such a mixed bag that I just haven’t ever been able to feel comfortable investing in them for myself or clients. There are specific circumstances where I have seen them work out well but in general I don’t get involved with them.
5. Do you accept clients outside of Utah?
I am licensed as a CPA and registered as Registered Investment Advisor in Utah. But unlike attorneys, that doesn’t stop me from being able to help clients in other states. So, the short answer is that I can help clients in any state, and, as of the last time I counted, I have clients in 12 different states.
